The city with 400 bridges - Venice, Italy
Venice is an intricately built city with canal upon canal interwoven with another, getting from one side to the other means crossing bridge upon bridge. DID YOU KNOW that Venice has about 400 bridges, crazy right 😱 BUT only 4 of those bridges cross the Grand Canal and this is one of the bridges. 1. “Ponte degli Scalzi” is located near Stazione di Venezia Santa Lucia and Piazzale Roma 🌁
2. Ponte dell’Accademia near the Gallerie dell’Accademia;
3. Ponte di Calatrava a Venezia (officially “Ponte della Costituzione”); and
4. The oldest, grandest, and most famous of them all — the Rialto Bridge.

Venice City of Water
DATE : May 6
Bonjorno!
Venice is 'city of water', 'city of bridges', 'floating city' and 'city of masks'.
Well ... did Venice make it on my list of one of my most fav city in the world? Probably not!
But I must say that Venice have its own charm. The city itself is beautiful ... The architecture is amazingly unique and have loads of history.
Yeah ... It is a tourist town ... It is overcrowded, really expensive & constantly under renovation... But if you can look pass that you will enjoy Venice .
The main attraction here is Grand Canal, St. Mark Square, gandolas? and Rialto Bridge to name a few.
But for me the real gems is their outer Island - Lido, Burano, Murano AND wandering around back alleys in Venice, observing antique building & get lost! ... I consider myself quite good with directions but here the buildings looks similar and there's hundreds of bridge ... It's like walking in a maze ... You will get lost ... I mean really2 lost & it was so much fun!! But sooner or later you will know your way plus it's an island ... no matter how lost you are it's not like you can get off of it.
Wandering around you will find hidden treasure of Venice, antique places, watch local live their life and play ... Observing people ,their interaction and you will try to guess another person's story ... I love doing it .. When you travel you will met different people with different walk of life ... People watching is very insightful and informative way to know them. It allows you to observe humanity in all its diversity and similarity.
Anyway ... Some tips in Venice : when you first arrive and looking for your hotel pls prepare a map of your hotel location ... Wandering around in Venice is fun ... But walking clueless for hours with heavy backpack is no fun ... Every shops have a business card ask for it ... usually they got a map on that card ... That's how you know exactly where you are ... Don't eat at table outside a restaurant ... Eat inside or take away ... It's cheaper ... Don't eat at places with 20 different languages on the menu or didn't show a price at all ... You'll end up pay a fortune.
Pagi ini kami bergerak ke destinasi seterusnya : Florence
Ciao!!

€2 Gondola Ride in Venice
Instead of forking out a minimum of €80 for a 25-30 minute ride on a gondola in Venice, did you know you can have the full gondola experience across the Grand Canal in Venice for just 2.5% of the cost?
This is all made possible if you go to ‘Gondola Traghetto’ which is only a short walk away from the famous Rialto Bridge. You don’t need to book in advance, just join a relatively small queue of people (even in the summer), pay €2 and hop on the gondola.
There are a couple of drawbacks to this, one being you’ll be sharing the gondola with a number of strangers rather than renting a private gondola for your party. Secondly the gondola trip only lasts roughly 3 minutes as you simply cross the canal rather than travel along it.
If neither of these things put you off then this is definitely a bargain and a must do on your trip to one of the most magical cities in Europe.

Ponte di Rialto
The Ponte di Rialto or Rialto Bridge is without a doubt the most famous in Venice. It’s the oldest of just 4 bridges spanning the Grand Canal in the city and was originally established as a simple pontoon bridge in the year 1173.
It has been rebuilt several times throughout its history and the current structure was completed between 1588 and 1591. It’s one of the main tourist attractions in the city. It consists of a single arch connected to a central portico. Both ramps leading up to this portico are lined with shops.
Getting There - Its a short scenic walk from the bus terminal or train station
Attractions - Oldest bridge in Venice
Hotels - Many hotels to suit all budget nearby
Food & Restaurants - Many food outlets and restaurants to suit all budget nearby
Shopping - Souvenirs, retail and luxury shopping available

PONTE ON POINT 🌁💕🇮🇹✈️
The Ponte di Rialto is unquestionably the most well-known and iconic of the bridges that cross the magnificent Grand Canal.
The bridge, which links Venice's San Marco and San Polo neighborhoods, serves as a vital pedestrian thoroughfare and a major tourist destination.
This conclusion, which was initially a wooden bridge, stood for hundreds of years before collapsing in 1524. An elaborate stone bridge was constructed as a result of this tragedy and is still in use today.
You can stroll across the well-known Rialto Bridge from the easternmost point in the San Polo area to the northernmost point in the San Marco district. The oldest of the four bridges in Venice is the covered bridge, which was built in the sixteenth century. Numerous stores selling jewelry and souvenirs may be found on both sides of the pedestrian bridge. This bridge was originally a floating pontoon, but as traffic on the nearby Rialto Market expanded, it was decided to build the bridge out of wood. In the past, the bridge could be lifted from both sides to allow ships with protruding decks to pass. The 15th century saw the addition of the businesses on the bridge.

Immerse yourself in the unique allure of this watery wonderland as you embark on a journey through these cultural treasures from Rialto Bridge to St. Mark's Square.
The Rialto Bridge stands proudly over the Grand Canal, showcasing a masterful blend of elegance and functionality. Dating back to the 16th century, this arched stone bridge has become a bustling nexus where locals and visitors traverse the canal on foot.
St. Mark's Square, or Piazza San Marco, unfolds as a grandeur-filled expanse surrounded by architectural marvels that echo Venice's rich history. Floating City: Venice 🇮🇹
Venice is a kind of beautiful Italian destination - with its long canals, narrow alleys and an interesting history, you’ll always find a lot to do & see..Let’s help you spoilt with choices all the best things to do in Venice whilst you’re there. I have visited several sights in Venice and would like to share them with you!
1) St Mark’s Basilica - It’s worth exploring the most famous church St Mark’s Basilica.
2.) Piazza San Marco- Buzzing ‘must-see’ spot, Piazza San Marco is one of the most famous square to visit in Venice
3.) Rialto Bridge- The oldest bridge that crosses the Grand Canal in Venice, the Rialto Bridge and surroundings is a bucket list if you have wish to stroll around this great city.
4.) Grand Canal-It’s packed with boats, gondolas and a heap of water taxis. Personally, I’d recommend either taking a short tour by gondola.
5.) Doge’s Palace-This beautiful Palace has a long history within the Venetian empire; Inside you will see the most grand rooms and fine art that’s centuries old.
If you have time I would suggest to visit near by islands; Murano, Burano, and Torcello are the Venetian Lagoon's three most visited and unique islands.

Venice, a place that can make people dizzy with excitement.
🛶
The main island of Venice, the only city in the world without cars, is not big. You can walk leisurely and visit all places without taking a boat. You can also stroll through various narrow alleys and visit shops along the way. One day is enough to arrange.
.
🌟Main Island + Rainbow Island itinerary route:
1. Rialto Bridge, pictures 14-16.
Many people are taking photos on the bridge, but I can't squeeze into the crowd to see the scenery 🥲. It feels much less beautiful than the scenery on the small bridges I walked past in the alleys.
2. St. Mark's Square (Bell Tower can be climbed)
The whole square doesn't give me a very spacious feeling, and the church is not as good as I imagined because it's surrounded by railings. But walking towards the river, the view is very good, and there are pink lampshades on the streetlights everywhere 💕.
3. Bridge of Sighs
There are a lot of people! It's a popular spot for taking photos.
4. Rainbow Island Burano Figure 8-12
Rainbow Island is really beautiful! Especially when there is sunshine, it makes people feel good~ You can probably stroll around for 1-2 hours.
At f.te nove A station, there will be a sign that says "burano" for the boat. Walk a little further to the B station kiosk to buy a round-trip ticket for 19 euros. It takes about forty minutes to get to Burano Island, with a stop at Murano Island along the way.
.
🚞Transportation and accommodation
You can stay near the Venezia Mestre train station on the mainland and take a train to the main island, which is very convenient and takes about ten minutes. When you arrive at the station, buy a round-trip ticket to Venezia S. Lucia on the main island from the ticket machine.
.
🍝Delicious food
Dal Moros pasta, not too hard and very flavorful! The shop is located in a very inconspicuous alley, it took a long time to find it. A bucket only costs 7 euros, it looks small but the portion is large. I recommend the basil pesto pasta!
Suso's team is long and the taste is average and sweet. You can go to other cities in Italy to eat later! (PS I found that there are branch stores without queues! At that time, the map was guided to another store and I thought this was a pirated version, so I didn't go. Later I found out it was the same store. If you want to check in, you can buy San Giovanni Grisostomo 30125 Venice at this store.)
.
Walking through the streets and alleys on the main island, you can pass various small bridges and see different scenery. At the beginning, it was cloudy and everywhere looked dilapidated, but when the sun came out, the colorful houses were reflected in the water under the sunshine, and the charm of Venice could only be reflected by rowing boats 🛶.

The Rialto Bridge is where I am when I read Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice." There are more than 400 bridges in Venice, and why is the Rialto Bridge a symbol of Venice for more than a hundred years? When I set foot on the bridge against the sunset, overlooking the canal and overlooking the scenery, it really felt its charm.
With the setting sun, this bridge made of marble shows the world's atmosphere from the Renaissance, lingering, no need to deliberately choose the angle, take pictures casually, each one It is wonderful.
My_Travel_Vest.
The most prestigious bridge on the Grand Canal in Venice, with the highest rate of appearance, is the Rialto Bridge, which is one of the best places to photograph the beauty of Venice. Because the whole bridge was changed from the original wooden bridge to all white marble, the natural extension of the curvature is across the water, the line of sight is wide, large and small boats are moored on the pier, standing on the bridge to shoot the sunset The panoramic view of the Grand Canal at the moment of the fall, the faint golden sprinkling on the water, reflected in the house, put a noble and beautiful coat on this prosperous river, especially warm and beautiful.
Panorama of the bridge, preferably on the water bus.
This bridge is the largest bridge in Venice. There is a floating pavilion at the top of the bridge. There are 24 stalls selling jewellery shops and souvenirs on both sides. There are many restaurants and shops on both sides of the bridge. It is also a Rialto market.
Today, the Rialto Bridge connects shops and restaurants on both sides of the river, while the bridge is crowded with people watching the canal landscape and lounging.
